Wong conducts research and training about personal care services that help people with disabilities live in the community, as opposed to being institutionalized in a nursing home. She is president of the San Francisco In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority Governing Body, and is a board member of Asians and Pacific Islanders with Disabilities of California.
