Science of Caring is a monthly online publication from UC San Francisco School of Nursing. Our mission is to deliver original, insightful stories about important issues in health care from the perspective of our scientists and clinicians.
We believe such stories are especially important now – and that in the era of health care reform, a leading school of nursing has a responsibility to steadily assert its voice. Too often, despite nurses’ essential and growing roles in delivering care and the outstanding communication efforts of many of our colleagues, our voices can be hard to find.
We draw on a small group of experienced health care writers whose work has appeared in many different publications, including the Economist.com, the San Francisco Chronicle and the Washington Post. In addition, nurse scientists, clinicians and students from UCSF School of Nursing periodically contribute their voices.
If you have story ideas, responses to articles, questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to comment – stories are open to public comments – or to contact us.
